WHO WE ARE

Global Frontier Advisory and Development Services was founded by Edward Greene and Auriol Europe Greene. We specialize in global and regional affairs, and are experts in change management, poverty alleviation, climate resilience, education and training, gender equality, sustainable development and the green economy, project design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

At Global Frontier, we are promoters of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals, with special reference to our areas of competence (listed above). We are also conversant with the programs and policies of major global institutions including:

ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS

Edward Greene, Chief Executive Office (CEO)

Edward Greene is a Development Scientist and Practitioner with over 30 years of experience as a Political Economist, Social Policy Researcher, Negotiator, Advocate, Fundraiser, and Community Organizer. He specializes in Health and Human Development, Education and Training, Climate Change and Environmental Protection, Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls, Poverty Alleviation and Youth Leadership.

Auriol Europe Greene, ​Director

Auriol Europe Greene has professional experience spanning 30 + years in Program & Project Management, Information Management, Systems Development, Business Analysis, Innovation & Planning, Strategy & Management, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Architecture, Client Relationship Management, Capacity Building, Research, Conference & Logistics Planning, Mentorship Programs.

Sir George Alleyne, ​Special Adviser

Sir George Alleyne, a native of Barbados is a medical graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) where he subsequently pursued an academic career. He was appointed Professor of Medicine in UWI in 1972 and Chair of the Department of Medicine in 1976. He joined the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1981, became Director on 1 February 1995 and after re-election in 1998, completed a second four-year term on 31 January 2003.

Garfield Barnwell

Garfield Barnwell is a development economist from the Caribbean with more than 10 years of experience negotiating, drafting, managing and implementing country projects, designing, monitoring and evaluating development policies in small open economies. ​Mr. Barnwell brings several years of leadership experience in development policies and programs, with a strong focus on structural reforms.

Myrna Bernard

Myrna Bernard is a professional science educator and Human Resource Development (HRD) specialist with over 30 years of experience at both national and regional levels in the Caribbean. Over the past twelve years, she has led multi-disciplinary teams of professionals in the development and implementation of integrated strategies and programmes to address the continually emerging demands for relevance and effectiveness in Human Resource Development.

Valerie Wilson

Valerie Wilson is an Immunologist and public health professional who has provided leadership and technical advisory services to Ministries of Health, private and public sector laboratories and staff in 23 countries within the Caribbean region, through her work as Laboratory Manager and Project Manager for the European Union funded Laboratory Strengthening Project at the Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC/PAHO/WHO) from 1990 to 2007, and from 2008 to present at the Caribbean Med Labs Foundation (CMLF).

Professor Compton Bourne

Professor Bourne is a graduate of the University of London, the University of Birmingham and the University of the West Indies.  He was President of the Caribbean Development Bank from 1 May,2001 to 30 April 2011 and Executive Director of the Caribbean Centre for Money and Finance from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2014. Prior to the appointment at the Caribbean Development Bank, he was Principal of the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies and Pro Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development.

Professor Elsie Le Franc

Elsie Le Franc is currently an independent consultant with training and experience in Sociology with particular  expertise in Medical Sociology. Her early academic years were spent in Rural Sociology research that sharpened her understanding of  many of the social and sociological issues in Caribbean rural societies. ​​She has developed extensive research and teaching expertise in areas such as social determinants of health, health inequality, health services organisation and delivery, health policy analysis, HIV/AIDS sexual related behaviours. 

Kesaundra Alves

Kesaundra  Alves is an  Attorney-at-Law admitted to the Guyana Bar in October 2008 after graduating with honours from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago. She is also the holder of a Master of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in Canada and a Health Law, Ethics and Policy fellow of the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR). She has been employed with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat in the fields of communications and health sector development, and thereafter at the Ministry Public Health where she engaged in legislative drafting, communications and advocacy related to tobacco control.

Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith

Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith, now Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the University of Delaware, served as Vice Chancellor of the University of Guyana from June 2016 to June 2019, having served previously as Executive-in-Residence at the University at Albany, State University of New York and President of Fort Valley State University. A political scientist, earlier he had served as Provost and Senior Vice President at York College, City University of New York, Provost at Radford University in Virginia, Associate Dean for Budget and Facilities of the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida International University (FIU), and Dean of the Honors College at FIU.​
